Volleyball Welcomes Eastern Michigan On Tuesday

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan volleyball team returns to the court for a rare midweek game on Tuesday when it entertains Eastern Michigan in a Mid-American Conference match.
The Chippewas (9-7) swept two matches over the weekend at Toledo, winning in four sets on Friday and then rallying on Saturday from a two-set deficit to win in five. The Chippewas are 6-2 in their last eight starts.
Eastern Michigan (6-8) dropped two matches, both in straight sets, at league-leading Bowling Green over the weekend.
The Chippewas and Eagles are scheduled to meet on Tuesday, March 23, in Ypsilanti.
The Chippewas
Central Michigan senior Lisbeth Rosario-Martinez is ranks second in the MAC with a .358 attack percentage. She is tied for second in the league with 22 aces and is tied for fifth with .34 aces per set.
CMU's Savannah Thompson is second in the conference with 236 kills and is ninth with 3.69 kills per set.
Eastern
The Eagles' Franki Strefling, a 5-foot-10 senior outside hitter, is third in the conference behind Thompson with 224 kills; she is second in the conference with 4.31 kills per set.
Raeven Chase, a 6-3 sophomore middle blocker, is the MAC leader with 1.24 blocks per set, while EMU setter Jayden Otto ranks fifth in the conference with 10.42 assists per set.
Eastern leads the MAC in digs per set (18.81).
