Five Chippewa Women On Academic All-MAC Squad

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Five members of the Central Michigan women's basketball team have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team.
The Chippewas so honored with year, major and grade point average: Kyra Bussell, senior, exercise science and psychology, 3.97; Molly Davis, sophomore, exercise science, 3.89; Sophia Karasinski, junior, exercise science, 3.55; Kalle Martinez, junior, physical activity, 3.38; Maddy Watters, senior, marketing and logistics management, 3.94.
It marks the third-consecutive year that Bussell and Watters have earned Academic All-MAC honors, and the second-straight year that Martinez and Karasinski have done so.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must carry a 3.20-or-better grade point average and have appeared in at least 50 percent of her team's games. True freshmen and first-year transfers are ineligible.
