Lacrosse Entertains Kent State On Wednesday

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan lacrosse team welcomes Kent State on Wednesday (3 p.m.) for a Mid-American Conference game at the CMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex.

The Chippewas are 6-6, 4-2 MAC, and coming off a 20-10 league loss at Robert Morris on Saturday. CMU is second in the league behind Robert Morris, which is 7-0 in conference play.

Kent State is 4-9, 3-5. The Chippewas defeated the Golden Flashes, 21-14, a month ago.

CMU senior Natalie Karlen leads the MAC in goals (47) goals per game (3.92), points (60), and points per game (5.00). With 221 career points, Karlen is the program's all-time leader; she has 154 career goals and needs 10 to pass Jocelyne Lemay and become the top goal scorer in the six-year history of the program.

Kent State's Abbey Jones (32) and Madison Rapier (29) rank fourth and fifth, respectively, in the league in scoring.

After Wednesday's game, the Chippewas will have three games remaining, all against MAC opponents. CMU is scheduled to entertain Akron on Saturday, May 1 (1 p.m.).
