Field Hockey Drops MAC Game At Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio – The Central Michigan field hockey team fell on Friday to Mid-American Conference opponent Ohio, 2-0, at the Bobcats' Pruitt Field.
CMU is 1-13, 0-5 MAC. Ohio is 6-7, 2-3.
Maja Halasz made 11 saves in goal for the Chippewas. Six of her saves came in the first half, after which the game was scoreless.
The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead early in the third quarter on a goal by Noa Desmaretz. Katelyn Whittle, who had nine of the Bobcats' 13 shots on goal, with five minutes left in play.
The Chippewas trailed in penalty corners, 4-1. Amelia Lane had the lone shot on goal for CMU.
CMU, which has four games left in the season, is scheduled to play a nonleague game at Lindenwood on Sunday, Oct. 16 (11 a.m.).
