Jaehn's 3-over Leads CMU Men At Georgia State

DULUTH, Ga. – Ethan Jaehn shot 75-72 – 147 on Monday to lead the Central Michigan men's golf team during the first two rounds of the Georgia State Invitational at Berkeley Hills Country Club.
The 54-hole stroke-play tournament is set to conclude with the third and final round on Tuesday.
The Chippewas opened with a 322 team score and then posted a 304 in Monday's second round for a 626 total. They are 16th in the 16-team tournament.
Jaehn stands at 3-over par and is among a group tied for 25th in the 87-player field.
Also for CMU on Monday, Arie Jackman shot 81-77—158; Orlando Coons shot 81-81—162; Philippe Yturralde shot 85-78—163; and Jeffrey Andrus finished at 88-77—165.
Four of the five players in CMU's lineup are freshman. Jackman is a junior. Four of the five improved by at least three shots from round one to round two.
James Madison leads the tournament after shooting 289-288—577 on Monday. The Dukes hold a four-shot lead over second-place Wright State.
Tyler Goecke of Wright State leads the tournament at 8-under par. He holds a two-shot lead over Daniel Cheng of James Madison.
