Goh Finishes 5th, Leads Golfers To 3rd-Place Finish In Kentucky

PROSPECT, Ky. – Central Michigan's Ashley Goh closed with a 79 to finish with a 54-hole 228 total and place fifth on Tuesday in the Cleveland State Nevel Meade Collegiate at Nevel Meade Golf Club.
Goh led the Chippewas to a final-round 311 and a third-place finish at 929 in the 15-team field. The Chippewas shot 309 in each of the first two rounds on Monday.
Host Cleveland State won the tournament with a 918 team total; Youngstown State (926) was second.
CMU's Claudia Salvador shot a final-round 80 to finish at 233 and tied for 13th, while teammate Casilda Allendesalazar tied for 19th, carding a final-round 78 for a 235 total.
Also for the Chippewas, Padgett Chitty shot 78 to finish at 237 and in a group tied for 29th, and Zoe Vartyan shot 76 to finish at 238 and among a group tied for 36th. The field comprised 87 players.
CMU's Mackenzie Baustad closed with a 75 for a 237 total to join the group tied at 29th, while Rachel Kauflin shot 79 on Tuesday to finish tied for 36th at 238.
Josephine Bonin of Bellarmine finished at 5-over 221 to earn medalist honors.
The Chippewas are scheduled to partake in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary, at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., Monday and Tuesday, March 28-29.
