Goh In The Hunt At MAC Championship

HOLLAND, Ohio – Ashley Goh turned in her second straight solid round on Saturday to lead the Central Michigan women's golf team at the Mid-American Conference Championship at Stone Oak Country Club.
Goh, a sophomore, shot a 3-over 75 for a 36-hole 151 total. She is among a group tied for seventh place with the final round scheduled for Sunday morning. Goh began Saturday's round tied for sixth.
The Chippewas posted a 318 team score on Saturday and are in seventh place in the 10-team field with a 635 total. They trail sixth-place Toledo by three shots and are five back of fifth-place Ball State.
Also for CMU on Saturday, Casilda Allendesalazar shot 77, Padgett Chitty posted an 81, Zoe Vartyan carded an 85, and Claudia Salvador shot 87.
Allendesalazar, who opened on Friday with an 83, moved up 10 spots on the leaderboard and is in 24th place in the 50-player field with a 160 total. Chitty and Vartyan are tied for 28th at 162.
Kent State maintained its spot atop the team leaderboard with a second-round 294 for a 590 team total. The Golden Flashes lead second-place Northern Illinois by 13 shots.
Northern Illinois' Jasmine Ly shot a 1-over 73 and leads the tournament by one shot over Emily Price of Kent State. Ly, who opened with a 3-under 69, stands at 2-under.
