Hankey, Manners Lead Track & Field At Duke Invitational

DUHRAM, N.C. – Oliva Hankey, Haley Manners, and the 4x400 team posted sixth-place finishes in leading the Central Michigan track & field team at the Duke Invitational at Morris Williams Stadium.
No team scores were kept. CMU closed the meet with 11 top-20 finishes.
Hankey, a redshirt sophomore, finished sixth in the heptathlon. She was first in the 800-meter run (2:14:90), third in the 200-meter hurdles (25.25 seconds), eighth in the 100-meter hurdles (14.30 seconds), seventh in the long jump (5.43 meters), 11th in the javelin (30.43 meters), 14th in the high jump (1.51 meters), and 14th in the shot put (10.01).
Manners, a redshirt sophomore, finished sixth in the long jump at 5.88 meters (19 feet, 3 ½ inches). She also ran a leg on the Chippewas' 4x400-meter relay team that placed sixth. Peyton Korytkowski, Taylor Korytkowski and Reghan Draper joined Manners in the event.
CMU's Mohogany Wells, a redshirt sophomore, finished 11th in the hammer throw at 51.10 meters (167-8) and was 12th in the shot put at 13.85 meters (45-5 1/4).
Other CMU top 20 finishes:
• Emma Francis, a redshirt sophomore, finished 14th in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:04.65.
• Aliyah Boeve, a redshirt freshman, finished 15th in the discus at 43.44 meters.
• Alyssa Vandegriff, a redshirt sophomore, finished 12th in the high jump at 1.60 meters.
• Peyton Korytkowski, a redshirt freshman, finished 16th in the 100-meter hurdles at 14.50 seconds.
• Maddy Boyd, a redshirt sophomore, finished 12th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 11:09.57.
• Sarah Daniel, a redshirt freshman, finished 15th in the long jump at 5.60 meters (18-4 ½).
