Twin Kelly Returns To CMU Women's Basketball

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Micaela "Twin" Kelly has come home to Central Michigan women's basketball.
Kelly, one of the most decorated players in program history, has returned as the program's director of player development. She becomes a member of coach Heather Oesterle's staff, which includes another former Chippewa great and Kelly's former teammate, Presley Hudson.
Hudson, who played at CMU from 2015-19, is the program's all-time leading scorer; Kelly, who played from 2017-21, is second on that list.
"We are very excited to welcome Twin back to be a part of our staff," Oesterle said. "Her smile and energy are contagious for everyone involved in our program. She knows what it takes to win at Central Michigan and our point guards are going to have the opportunity to learn from two of the greatest to ever wear the maroon and gold with her and Presley."
Kelly was a three-time All-MAC selection as a player at CMU. She was drafted by the Connecticut Sun in the second round (pick 21) of the 2021 WNBA Draft and played professionally in both Turkey and Iceland. She earned a bachelor's degree in community development from CMU.
As the director of player development, Kelly will work with the team's guard, assist with on-campus recruiting, and collaborate with the program's director of operations.
