Women's Basketball Opens On Nov. 7 At Home

Trip to Cancun, home game with Michigan State among nonconference highlights
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan women's basketball team is set to open the 2022-23 season with a home game against Valparaiso on Monday, Nov. 7 at McGuirk Arena.
The game with Valpo tips off an 11-game nonconference slate leading up to the Chippewas' Mid-American Conference opener on Jan. 4 at home against Northern Illinois.
Season tickets are on sale now at www.cmuchippewas.com or by calling Ticket Central (989) 774-3045 Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
In addition to the game with Valparaiso, CMU's nonconference home slate includes dates with Michigan State (Nov. 19), North Dakota State (Dec. 3), Cleveland State (Dec. 8) and Chicago State (Jan. 1).
The Chippewas' road nonconference schedule includes a trip to Cancun for the Cancun Challenge where CMU will face West Virginia and then Tulane on back-to-back days, Nov. 24-25, respectively.
The road slate also includes visits to Oakland (Nov. 12) and to Indiana State (Nov. 16), as well as stops at Georgia Tech (Dec. 11) and Eastern Illinois (Dec. 18).
