Manners Earns Weekly MAC Track & Field Award

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. --Â Central Michigan's Hayley Manners was named the co-Mid-American Conference Field Athlete of the Week for track & field on Wednesday.

Manners, a junior from Etobicoke, Ont., Can., won the long jump and placed fourth in leading the Chippewas at the Jack Skoog Open, their lone home meet of the season, on Saturday.

Manners won the long jump with an impressive leap of 19 feet, 8 3/4 inches (6.01 meters), the second longest of the season by a MAC jumper. She also placed fourth in the 60-meter dash.
Manners shared the award with Buffalo triple jumper Christina Wende.
