Goh Finishes Tied for 8th to Lead CMU Women at Shirley Spork EMU Invitational

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Central Michigan's Ashley Goh closed with a final-round 75 on Tuesday to finish tied for eighth in the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational at Eagle Crest Golf Course.
Goh finished with a 5-over par 216 total, eight shots behind medalist Ava O'Sullivan of Bowling Green.
It was Goh's second top-10 finish in the Chippewas' three tournaments in the fall season. She tied for seventh in the season-opening A-Ga-Ming Invitational in Kewadin.
The Chippewas posted a 314 team score on Tuesday to finish with a 925 total, tied for ninth place with Cleveland State in the 11-team field.
CMU's Rachel Kauflin shot 77 on Tuesday to finish with a 227 total and among a group tied for 20th.
Also for the Chippewas on Tuesday, Rachel Niskanen shot 79, Mackenzie Baustad shot 83, Lexi Schulman carded an 87, and Alexis McMurray shot 89. Baustad finished tied for 48th with a 239 total. Schulman finished at 246, Niskanen at 248, and McMurray at 253.
Oakland closed with a 293 team score for an 872 total and a three-shot victory over Bowling Green. Western Michigan (883) was third.
The Chippewas are scheduled to host the Chippewa Invitational at Birmingham Country Club on Oct. 16-17.
