Softball Falls to No. 3 Gators

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Central Michigan softball team concluded its trip to Florida with a loss to No. 3 Florida, 15-1 on Sunday.
The Chippewas (2-2) and will travel to Bowling Green, Ky. next weekend where they will play five games in the Western Kentucky Tournament against the likes of the host Hilltoppers, Jacksonville State and Illinois State.
The Chippewas started the scoring with an RBI double from Allyssa Hollo in the third inning. The Gators answered with five runs in bottom half of the first and then scored 10 runs in the fourth. The game ended after 4 1/2 innings on the run rule.
Abbey Tolmie and Emily Bracamonte each singled for CMU.
