Central Michigan fell short against #1 Iowa in it's first game of the weekend

Maja Halasz held the Hawkeyes scoreless through the first 13 minutes before Iowa squeezed one through late in the first quarter. In all, Halasz faced eight shots on goal and made three saves in the first half.

Coletta Beeler took over in goal at the start of the third quarter for her second outing of the season. Beeler finished out the game and allowed three goals on eight shots.

The Chippewas look forward to a neutral site affair against Massachusets Lowell in Iowa City on Saturday Sept. 9 (3 p.m. ET).
