Goh Leads CMU Women With Second-Round 79 at Huntsville

OWENS CROSSROADS, Ala. – Ashley Goh shot 79 on Tuesday to lead the Central Michigan women's golf team in the second round of the Huntsville.org Intercollegiate on the Highlands Course at the Robert Trent Jones at Hampton Cove.
Goh, who opened with a 3-over par 75 on Monday, stands with a 154 total and in a tie for 24th through 36 holes.
The third and final round of the 54-hole event is scheduled for Wednesday (10 a.m. ET).
Also for the Chippewas on Tuesday, Rachel Niskanen shot 83, Mackenzie Baustad shot 84, Lexi Schulman carded an 85, and Rachel Kauflin posted an 87.
Kauflin and Niskanen are among a group tied for 59th in the 81-player field with a 163 total. Baustad (174) is 74th and Schulman (175) is tied for 75th.
First-round leader Lauren Thompson of Lipscomb shot a 2-over 74 and remains in the top spot at 3-under 141. Teammate Ally Williams (74-70 – 144) is three shots back.
Lipscomb posted a 297 team total on Tuesday and is in first place with a 585 total, 15 shots ahead of second-place Austin Peay.
