Baseball Entertains Western in Season-Ending Series Beginning Today

Chippewas to celebrate Senior Day on Friday, annual CMU Baseball Alumni Day on Saturday with special recognition of 2004 MAC championship squad
The Central Michigan baseball team closes the season this weekend with a three-game Mid-American Conference series with rival Western Michigan on Keilitz Field at Theunissen Stadium.

The series opens on Thursday (3 p.m.) and continues on Friday (1 p.m.) and closes on Saturday (noon).

Two special events are scheduled for the series. The Chippewas' Senior Day is set for pregame on Friday and the annual CMU Baseball Alumni Day is scheduled for Saturday.

The Senior Day celebration is scheduled to begin at 12:20 p.m. on Friday, while the Alumni Day recognition is scheduled for Saturday at 11:20 a.m. Both events will take place on the field.

Some 40 former Chippewa players and coaches of various generations are expected to be on hand for Alumni Day, with a special recognition to commemorate the 2004 MAC championship team planned.
