Chippewas open the league slate New Year’s Day; season tickets available August 21st
CLEVELAND — The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced its 2025 Women's Basketball schedule Wednesday morning. Central Michigan opens the league schedule New Year's Day 2025 at Buffalo.
The Chippewas (6-22, 4-14 MAC in 2023-24) open with their first two MAC contests on the road with a visit to Ball State (Jan. 4) after the Bulls. Miami (OH) (Jan. 8) opens the home side of the league schedule, followed by Toledo (Jan. 11).
Season tickets for the 2024-25 season will be available August 21st at 10 a.m. for both renewals and new sales, with a new "Early Bird" period through Sept. 30 that will feature discounted rates for renewals. More information on season and general admission tickets are to be announced at a later date.
CMU faces a three-game road stretch in mid-February including the return trip for the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge on Feb. 12, though the league's bye week falls directly after the MAC-SBC matchup, prior to Central Michigan's visits to Bowling Green (Feb. 15) and Eastern Michigan (Feb. 19).
The second edition of the inter-league slate opens the Chippewas' regular season Nov. 4 with a visit from Coastal Carolina. The opponent for the midseason matchup will be determined by real-time NET rankings with an announcement to come in January.
The 2024-25 campaign will be the second under the direction of Head Coach Kristin Haynie who returns her entire staff from her inaugural campaign.
The Chippewas welcomed a total of 10 newcomers over the summer—five freshmen, five transfers—to go along with seniors Taylor Anderson (South Lyon, Mich. / East) and Lisa Tesson (Montréal, Québec / Royal Crown), junior Satori Griffin (Mount Pleasant, Mich. / Mount Pleasant) and sophomores Desrae Kyles (Benton Harbor, Mich. / Benton Harbor) and Tamara Ortiz (Columbus, Ohio / Westerville South) as the returning cast.
The remainder of the 2024-25 Central Michigan Women's Basketball schedule will be announced at a later date.
