Field Hockey Falls to Appalachian State

Chippewa Keeper Ashley Cogger had a season high of 13 saves.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan Field Hockey lost 0-4 to Appalachian State on Friday, Oct. 10.
Chippewa Keeper Ashley Cogger had a season high 13 saves in her 60 minutes played. Previously her season high was 11 against Massachusetts (Oct.3). And Drexel (Aug. 29).
Sophia Havrilla secured the first shot on goal for the Chippewas with teammate Mallory Camryn securing the other shot late in the fourth quarter.
The Chippewas had two corners in the match.
Camryn's second shot by a Chippewa was found in the 58th minute of the match. It was saved by Appalachian State Keeper Claire Grenis.
As a team the Chippewas had three shots on goal. The Mountaineers outscored and outshot the Chippewas with 24 shots, 17 shots on goal and four total goals.
Central Michigan Field Hockey travels to Miami for a MAC affair against the Miami Redhawks Friday, Oct. 17 at 1:00 p.m. The Chippewas are looking to bounce back from their 1-3 loss against the Redhawks in 2024.
