Ashley Cogger records season high 15 saves
The RedHawks came out quickly, logging their first goal within two minutes of the starting whistle. Miami logged 4 goals in the first quarter, one in the second, and three in the third.
Ashley Cogger entered the cage in the second half and logged a career high 15 saves from 18 shots on goal.
Cogger stands at 85 saves on the season, the most by a Chippewa since Maja Halasz recorded 108 over 12 games in 2022.
Between Cogger and starting keeper Jenna Billig CMU collected 21 saves, the most in a single game as a team since 2023, when the Chippewas recorded 23 saves against the RedHawks (Oct. 20)
Mallory Camryn recorded three Chippewa shots; one landed on target.
The Chippewas look to bounce back at home Sunday, Oct. 19, for a 1 p.m. tilt with Kent State.
