Track & Field Announces 2026 Indoor Schedule; Chippewas Host MAC Championships February 27-28

Central Michigan will host three home meets in the Jack Skoog, Chippewa Invitational, and Mid-American Conference Championships
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan Track and Field announced its 11-meet 2026 schedule Monday, highlighted by the Mid-American Conference Championships.
Central Michigan will host the Jack Skoog open (Jan. 16) along with the Chippewa Challenge (Feb. 7) in the regular season, before hosting the MAC Championships (Feb. 27-28).
The Chippewas will travel to Allendale, Mich. three times, the first coming as the season opener in the Grand Valley State University Holiday Open (Dec. 5). The Chippewas will return to GVSU for the Bill Clinger Classic (Jan. 23) and once more for the GVSU Big Meet (Feb. 13-14).
CMU will travel to Boston University twice, the first round on opening weekend for the Sharon Colyear-Dansville Season Opener (Dec. 6). The Chippewas end their east coast travels with the Boston Valentine Invite (Feb. 13-14).
The team will end their January slate in Indianapolis and South Bend, Ind. The University of Indianapolis will host the Crossroads Invite (Jan. 23), and Notre Dame will host the Meyo Invitational (Jan. 30)
Central Michigan will close out the regular season at in-state rival Michigan for the Silverston Invitational (Feb. 20)
