Baseball Falls at Liberty; Chippewas and Flames Wrap Up 3-Game Series on Sunday

The Chippewas and Flames are scheduled to complete their series on Sunday (1 p.m. ET).
The Chippewas scored the game's first run on a Bryson Webb second-inning RBI groundout.
The Flames struck for three runs in the fourth and four more in the fifth and then opened up an 11-1 lead with a four-run seventh.
Cole Prout hit a three-run homer for the Chippewas in the eighth. The home run was Prout's team-leading third of the season.
Zach Knowlton had two hits and Nathan Ball and Cayden Smith each doubled for the Chippewas.
Chippewa starter Evan Waters (1-1) surrendered three runs on five hits while walking three and striking out two over 3 2/3 innings in taking the loss.
Justin Morgan, Liam Stumpf, Max Hammond and Lane Kloha pitched in relief.
