Lacrosse to battle Detroit Mercy for final MAC Tournament spot Sunday, Noon ET

The Chippewas, winners of four of their last five, will look to maintain perfect MAC Tournament qualification record
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan Lacrosse, winner of four of its last five contests, heads to the Motor City Sunday (Noon ET) to battle longtime rival Detroit Mercy in a de facto play-in game for the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championship tournament. The event will be held May 1-3 on either the campus of Robert Morris or Akron, depending on Sunday's results.
The Chippewas had a seven-game winning streak against the Titans broken up in last year's conference semifinal, in Detroit Mercy's first appearance in the MAC Tournament. Since the inaugural postseason event in 2022, only CMU and Robert Morris have qualified each season.
