Fourteen Chippewas Named Academic All-MAC Lacrosse

Four seniors graduate as three-time academic honorees in the conference, six claim their first
CLEVELAND — The Mid-American Conference announced 13 members of Central Michigan Lacrosse on the 2025 Academic All-MAC team Wednesday morning.

To qualify for Academic All-MAC status, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of contests in the 2024 season. First-year members of the team, as freshmen or incoming transfers are not eligible.

Allen, Martel and Regitz completed the Academic All-MAC task on top of All-MAC selections on the field: Allen was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year, Martel all-league first team and Regitz all-league second team.

Four Chippewas—Allen, Hinkle, Martinsen and Wenger—claimed their third career academic all-conference distinction to push the program's total to 14 three-time recipients since 2021.

The program carried a 3.72 grade-point average through the spring semester across 34 players on the roster—eight achieved a 4.0 GPA, 27 reached or bested a 3.5 GPA.
