MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State scored six runs on five hits and one Central Michigan error in the bottom of the ninth inning on Sunday in posting an 11-10 walk-off win over the Chippewas in the finale of a three-game Mid-American Conference baseball series at the Cardinals' Shebek Stadium.

The Chippewas (6-7, 1-2 MAC) play a pair of nonconference games this week, first at Mercyhurst on Tuesday and the second at Youngstown State on Wednesday. They are scheduled to return to MAC play with a three-game series next weekend at Kent State.

Ball State took two of three from the Chippewas, improving to 7-7, 2-1.

Trailing 10-5 entering its final turn at bat, Ball State used back-to-back singles and a walk to load the bases with one out and then Tommy Landses hit a three-run triple to cut CMU's lead to 10-8.

An RBI single brought Ball State to 10-9, and then a Chippewa error left runners on first and second with two out. Brett Griffiths doubled to center to plate the tying and winning runs.

Gavin Moczydlowsky, the fifth Chippewa pitcher, took the loss.

Harrison Bowman, Logan Keilen and Joey Milto homered during a seven-run CMU fourth inning that gave the Chippewas a 7-4 lead.

CMU scored two more runs in the fifth to extend its lead to 9-4. Miguel Correa Jr. drove in a run with a two-out single, then stole second base and scored on an error.

CMU finished with 11 hits, two each by Milto, Bryson Webb and Correa.

Bowman's home run was his fourth of the season. He shares the team lead with Cole Prout. Milto's homer, a two-run shot, was his third while Keilen's, also a two-run blast, was the first of his career.
