Field Hockey Hosts Ball State, Friday; No. 4 Massachusetts Sunday

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan Field Hockey will host Ball State and No. 4 Massachusetts at Cristy Freese Field Friday and Sunday. First touch for both games will be at 1 p.m.
The Chippewas will be hosting their Global Connection Game against the Cardinals, Friday, where each international athlete from both rosters will be honored before the game. In all, 15 student athletes representing eight countries will be honored.
Sunday will feature a Celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Championship team. During the game, 1976 team who went 18-1 and finished fifth in the National AIAW tournament and won both the AIAW State and Regional Championships will be honored.
Sunday's matchup will be the first time since 2021 that Central Michigan hosts two nationally ranked teams. Central Michigan hosted No. 13 Michigan (L, 0-5) Sunday, Sept. 20.
