Women's Basketball Lose To Toledo

MOUNT PLEASANT--Central Michigan trailed by just a point at the half but the University of Toledo took control in the second half in posting an 83-57 win on Wednesday night at Rose Arena.
Coming out of the halftime break, Toledo went on a 17-2 run to jump to a 48-35 lead with 15:21 to play in the game.
Toledo let CMU get as close as 12 points before scoring 17 unanswered points to put the game out of reach.
The Rockets shot a blistering 58 percent (21-36) in the second half while holding CMU to 35 percent (10-29).
Beth Kindel was the story for the Chippewas in the opening half. She shot six-of-seven from the floor and three-of-four from the charity stripe for a game-high 15 points.
CMU held a 12-4 lead in the early stages of the game before the Rockets came back to take a 28-19 lead late in the opening stanza.
The Chippewas outscored the Rockets 11-1 to close the half to close the gap to 31-30 at the break.
Kindel led CMU with a game-high 22 points. She also had five rebounds, three assists and one steal in her first game back after missing the Ohio game.
Molli Munz added 14 points.
Toledo was led by Kahli Carter who had 21 points and eight rebounds. Melantha Herron had 14 points and Kelly Walker chipped in 13.
Central Michigan (3-15 overall, 0-7 Mid-American Conference) travels to Northern Illinois on Saturday.
