Field Hockey Suffers First Defeat

ANN ARBOR -- The Central Michigan University field hockey team dropped its first game of the season, 5-0, to defending national champion, Michigan, on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolverines April Fronzoni put Michigan on the board 13:28 into the first half and it never looked back. Fronzoni ended the game with a hat trick.
The Chippewas were outshot, 31-5, while only managing one shot the entire second half.
CMU returns home to Kelly/Shorts Stadium on Tuesday, September 10, to take on Big Ten foe Michigan State. Game time is slated for 3 p.m.
