MFCU Scholar Athlete of the Week - Emily Heinz

Mount Pleasant, Mich. — Emily Heinz of the gymnastics program has named this week's Members First Credit Union Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
Heinz capped her tremendous career on the sport's biggest stage Friday, posting a 9.575 on the beam at the 2014 NCAA National Championships. The senior earned the trip to the NCAA finals with a 9.850 at the NCAA Regionals, claiming the beam title in a three-way tie with teammates Taylor Noonan and Halle Moraw.
A native of Algonquin, Ill., Heinz has earned a 3.76 grade point average as a biomedical sciences major.
The Member's First Credit Union Scholar-Athlete of the Week will be announced each Monday during the 2013-14 academic year.
