DAVIS, Calif. - The Central Michigan gymnastics team tied for second Friday in a non-league tri-meet at California Davis.
The host Aggies posted a 194.725 team score to win the meet. The Chippewas and Sacramento State both scored 194.150. Iowa, which was scheduled to partake in the event, did not because of travel difficulties.
Seniors Kyle Fagan and Halle Moraw led the Chippewas with first-place finishes on the uneven parallel bars and floor exercise, respectively.
Fagan won the bars with a 9.900 score, marking the fourth consecutive meet and the sixth time this season that she has posted a 9.900 or better.
Moraw and Alexis Brown of UC Davis both scored a 9.825 to share first place on floor exercise.
Karlee Teet led CMU on vault with a 9.825, which tied her for third place, and she tied for second on bars with a 9.825.
CMU posted a 48.925 team score on vault, a 48.825 on bars, and a 48.700 on floor.
