Bolender Earns MAC Award

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan's Taylor Bolender received the Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week Award for gymnastics.
Bolender, a senior from Akron, Ohio, won the floor exercise with a 9.900 score on Friday in Central Michigan's non-conference victory over Brigham Young at McGuirk Arena.
The 9.900 was Bolender's season-high. The Chippewas, who are 5-0 on the season, visit Northern Illinois on Friday (8 p.m.) for their Mid-American Conference opener.
