SETTING THE SCENE
• The Central Michigan gymnastics team entertains Bowling Green in a Mid-American Conference dual on Sunday.
• The Chippewas are one back in the loss column in the MAC standings. Northern Illinois is first at 4-1, followed by Eastern Michigan (3-1) and Ball State (2-1).
LAST WEEK
• CMU scored a season-best 195.775 in edging Kent State in a MAC dual. The Golden Flashes posted a 195.675.
• The win was big for the Chippewas, who have been inconsistent throughout the season.
• CMU's Katy Clements was named the MAC Gymnast of the Week for her performance at Kent State. She placed first on balance beam with a career-best 9.925 and was second on floor exercise (9.900) and fourth on vault (9.850).
RANKINGS
• Central Michigan is ranked 36th nationally this week. Bowling Green is ranked 50th.
• The Chippewas are ranked 23rd on floor, 30th on vault, 44th on balance beam, and 47th on parallel bars. Bowling Green is ranked 49th on floor, 24th on vault, 29th on beam, and 60th on bars.

• Sunday's meet is the first of three straight weekends that the Chippewas will compete at McGuirk. On Sunday, March 5 (1 p.m.), they entertain Rutgers in a nonleaguer and on Saturday, March 11 (2 p.m.) they close the regular season with a MAC meet against Northern Illinois.
