Friday afternoon game is CMU's second-to-last at home this season

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- The Central Michigan field hockey team will entertain the Miami (Ohio) in a Mid-American Conference game at the CMU Field Hockey Complex on Friday (4 p.m.).

RECORDS
The Chippewas enter the game 1-11 overall and 0-2 in the MAC. Miami is 7-4, 2-0. The RedHawks are the defending MAC regular-season and tournament champions.

LAST TIME OUT
The Chippewas dropped a 3-1 MAC game at Ohio on Sunday. Miami topped Indiana, 5-0, on the same day in a nonconference game.

CLOSING IT OUT
Friday's game is the Chippewas' second-to-last at home this season. They play host to Ball State on Oct. 19 in their home finale.

NEXT
The Chippewas, who have become accustomed to play two games on a weekend and, in some cases, three in a given week, will play just once – Friday's game against Miami – in a 14-day stretch. The Chippewas' next game is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 7, at Kent State.
