Pedrick Earns Weekly MAC Honor For 6th Time This Season

Junior leads CMU to repeat outright MAC regular-season title
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Denelle Pedrick was named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week for the sixth time this season on Tuesday.
Pedrick, a junior from Wilcox, Sask., posted a career-best 39.525 in winning the all-around and leading CMU to a dual victory at Northern Illinois on Friday. The win gave the Chippewas a perfect 6-0 record in MAC meets and their second-consecutive outright league regular-season championship.
Pedrick placed first on the floor exercise, tying her career-high with a 9.925, and won the balance beam and placed second on both the uneven parallel bars and the vault. Her bar score was a 9.850, which tied her career high.
Pedrick's 39.525 all-round score is the best by a MAC gymnast this season.
Pedrick and the Chippewas are scheduled to compete in the MAC Championships at Northern Illinois on Saturday, March 23.
