Schedule flipped: Chippewas will play 2 on Friday
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Back to the MAC, and back on the road.
The Central Michigan softball team heads to Buffalo this weekend for a three-game Mid-American Conference series with the Bulls.
The series was scheduled to begin on Friday with a single game and to conclude with a doubleheader on Saturday, the routine for MAC series in the 2019 season.
But the forecast has forced Buffalo to flip the script: The teams are scheduled to play a twinbill on Friday (1 p.m.) and then conclude the series with a game on Saturday (noon).
The Chippewas dropped their home opener, 8-0, to 25th-ranked Michigan on Tuesday. CMU is 11-16 overall and 2-1 MAC after taking two of three at Miami (Ohio) a week ago.
"Last weekend against Miami, we really played with fire and passion and that's what I want to see every time on the field," CMU coach Margo Jonker said after the loss to Michigan.
