Chippewa Golfers 12th In Daytona Beach

Laude leads CMU, ties for 29th place
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Central Michigan golf team posted a 315 team total on Frieday in the third and final round of the Bethune-Cookman LadyCat Invitational on the Jones Course at LPGA International.
Sophomore Jami Laude shot closed the tournament with a 6-over-par 78 to finish with a 232 total, tied for 29th in the 86-player field. CMU sophomore Rachel Leucuta, playing as an individual, posted the best score of any Chippewa, a 76, on Friday.
She finished tied for 33rd with a 233 total.
Also for the Chippewas on Friday, Bria Colosky shot 78, Holly Hines carded a 79, Meghan Deardorff shot 80, and Danielle Sawyer posted an 84. Hines finished at 240, Colosky at 242, Deardorff at 244, and Sawyer at 247.
The Chippewas finished with a 956 team total for 12th place in the 15-team field. CMU opened the tournament on Thursday morning with a 323 and followed with an afternoon 318.
Barry shot a 283 team score to finished with a 54-hole 856 total and win the tournament by three shots over host Bethune-Cookman.
Barry teammates Noemie Pare and Josefina Foa Torres both finished with a 6-under 210 total to share medalist honors. Pare closed with a 4-under 68, Torres with a 69.
