Pedrick Named MAC's Best For Second-Straight Week

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Denelle Pedrick has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week for the second-consecutive week.
Pedrick, a senior from Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Can., tied for first on both the vault and the uneven parallel bars and won the all-around on Sunday in the Chippewas' dual meet with Kent State.
Pedrick, the reigning MAC Gymnast of the Year, matched her career high with a 9.900 score on bars. She posted a 9.825 score on vault and a 39.400 all-around score and was second on floor exercise (9.850) and was fourth on balance beam (9.825).
It marks the third time this season and the fifth time in her career that Pedrick has earned the league's gymnast of the week award.
Pedrick and the Chippewas compete on Friday, Feb. 21 (6 p.m.) in a MAC dual at Bowling Green.
