CMU's Hammond Earns Weekly MAC Award

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Audriana Hammond has been named the Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week for gymnastics.
Hammond, a freshman from Elk Rapids, scored a 9.950 to win the uneven parallel bars at the New Hampshire Quad.
The score was a career best and it ties for the best bars score by a MAC gymnast this season. Hannah DeMers, another CMU freshman, posted a 9.950 earlier this season. There have been only 11 better bars scores nationwide this season.
The Chippewas entertain Ball State on Sunday, March 15 (1 p.m.) in their final MAC dual of the season. It is also the Chippewas' final home meet of the season.
