First of Four
Tuesday's game is the first of four in a row on the road for the Chippewas. They are scheduled to go to Akron on Thursday, Jan. 21 (6 p.m.) and then next week to Buffalo and to Kent State.
The Zips are 5-3, 3-2 and feature MAC scoring leader Loren Cristian Jackson, who is averaging 22.6 points per game.
When the Chippewas finish this stretch of four road games, they will be one-half of the way through the 20-game MAC slate. Seven of those games will have been on the road, and two of those games were against Bowling Green, the team that finished first in the preseason poll.
"I think all of that that we are facing can only make us a better team for the second half of the conference season," coach Keno Davis said. "Our guys are looking forward to an opportunity to play and enjoying every minute that they get an opportunity to do so. We're looking forward to facing some of the top teams in this league on the road and to getting a chance to measure ourselves as to where we are in the conference moving forward."
