Field Hockey Drops MAC Game At Longwood

FARMVILLE, Va. – The Central Michigan field hockey team fell to Longwood, 7-0, in a Mid-American Conference match on Friday.
The Chippewas are 2-7, 1-2 MAC; the Lancer are 6-3, 2-1. Longwood outshot the Chippewas, 20-4, including a 14-2 edge in shots on goal.
Longwood also finished with a 7-5 advantage in penalty corners.
Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Maxim recorded seven saves for the Chippewas, bringing her season total to 60.
Central Michigan will next travel to Loretto, Pa. to face Saint Francis in a nonconference game on Sunday, Oct. 3 (1 p.m.).
