DeMers Named MAC Gymnast Of The Week

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Hannah DeMers was named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week for her performance in the Chippewas' MAC victory over Bowling Green on Sunday at McGuirk Arena.
DeMers, a sophomore from Canton, posted a season-high 39.300 to win the all-around and lead CMU to a 195.975 team score, its second high of the season.
DeMers tied for first on vault (9.850), was second on balance beam (9.750) and on floor exercise (9.900) and finished third on uneven parallel bars (9.800). Her floor score was a career high and her vault score was a season high.
On the season, DeMers ranks first in the MAC on bars and second on vault and second all-around.
