DeMers Earns MAC Weekly Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan gymnast Hannah DeMers has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week for her performance last weekend.
DeMers won the all-around with a score of 39.400 against Eastern Michigan on Friday. She also placed first on floor exercise (9.875), on uneven parallel bars (9.850), on balance beam (9.875) and tied for first on the vault (9.800). Her score on beam ties her career high.
DeMers currently holds the highest all-around and balance beam scores in the MAC. She is also ranked 15th in the nation in the all-around.
The Chippewas are back in action on Friday, Jan. 21, when they travel to Bowling Green. The meet is set for 6 p.m.
