DeMarinis Earns Weekly MAC Award

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Sierra DeMarinis was named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week for her performance in the Chippewas' tri-meet with Western Michigan and Michigan State on Sunday.
DeMarinis, a senior from Montgomery, Mass., tied her career best with a 9.950 to win the floor exercise in leading CMU to a 196.475 team score, the program's best since 2018.
DeMarinis' 9.950 is the third-best score by a MAC gymnast this season.
She also tied for seventh on vault with a 9.800 and placed 12th on balance beam with a 9.750.
