DeMers Earns MAC Gymnast Of The Week Award

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Hannah DeMers was named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week on Tuesday after helping lead the Chippewas to a dual-meet victory over Ball State on Friday as the Chippewas clinched a share of the MAC regular season championship, their first since 2019.
DeMers, a junior from Canton, won the all around (39.275) and the uneven parallel bars (9.875), tied for second on the balance beam (9.825) and on the floor exercise (9.875), and was fifth on vault (9.800).
It marks the fourth time this season that DeMers has earned the MAC Gymnast of the Week Award. She is ranked No. 1 in the MAC and 23rd nationally in the all around; she is ranked second on beam in the MAC and is tied for second on bars.
The Chippewas are scheduled to partake in the MAC Championships at Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
