Nine CMU Gymnasts Earn Academic All-MAC Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Nine Central Michigan gymnasts were named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team for the 2022 season.
The team members with their hometown, year, major and cumulative grade point average: Adriana Bustelo, Mason, Ohio, sophomore, exercise science, 3.66; Elizabeth Cesarone, Lancaster, Pa., sophomore, general management, 3.65; Sierra DeMarinis, Montgomery, Mass., senior, biology, 3.91; Hannah DeMers, Canton, Mich., junior, heath administration, 3.86; Audriana Hammond, Elk Rapids, junior, exercise science, 3.94; Brenna Hauser, Westfield, Ind., junior, communication science, 3.83; Savana Kotas, Augusta, Ga., junior, exercise science, 4.00; Katie Kowalski, Freeland, Mich., sophomore, biology, 3.78; Ashley Veglucci, Coram, N.Y., junior, exercise science, 3.91.
It marks the third consecutive year that DeMarinis has been named to the squad. DeMers, Hammond, Kotas and Veglucci were honored for the second straight season.
