Chippewas Drop Final MAC Home Game to Ohio

Ohio registers 5-0 win over Central Michigan.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan Field Hockey dropped its final Mid-American Conference home matchup against Ohio 5-0 Friday afternoon at Cristy Freese Field.
Chippewas goalkeeper Maja Halasz played the entire match in the cage, and faced 22 Bobcat shots, tallying 10 saves, and allowing five goals.
The Chippewas were able to post eight shots on the day, all landing on goal. Freshman back Klara Mikulaskova led the Chippewas with three shots of her own.
The Chippewas return to action next week with a two game weekend. Central Michigan will be on the road at Miami (Ohio) on Oct. 20 with first touch coming at 1 p.m. The Chippewas will then return for their final home match, taking on the Michigan Wolverines on Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.
