Elizabeth Cesarone Named MAC Specialist of the Week

MAC honors Cesarone after she registers a career-best 9.925 vault performance on Sunday at West Virginia Tri-Meet.
CLEVELAND, Ohio—Junior Elizabeth Cesarone was named the Mid-American Conference's Gymnastics Specialist of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon. It marks the first-ever MAC weekly honor for Cesarone, a Lancaster, Pa. native.
An Academic All-MAC honoree in 2022, Cesarone had a strong vault performance on Sunday in a tri-meet with Pitt and West Virginia. She tied for first place on vault with a career-best 9.925 performance and she helped lead the Chippewas to a season-best 196.500 team score and second place team finish in the meet.
Central Michigan is back in action for its final MAC regular season meet on Sunday, March 12 at Kent State. The meet begins at 1 p.m.
