Eleven Gymnasts Earn Academic All-MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio—Eleven Central Michigan gymnasts were named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team this week.

Earning Academic All-MAC honors are freshman Luciana Alvarado-Reid, sophomore Avah Bootz, junior Adriana Bustelo, junior Elizabeth Cesarone, senior Hannah DeMers, senior Audriana Hammond, sophomore Hallie Hornbacher, sophomore Lia Kmieciak, senior Aleysia Kolyvanova, sophomore Quinn Skrupa, and senior Ashley Veglucci.

DeMers, Hammond and Veglucci are three-year honorees. Bustelo and Cesarone earn the award for the second straight year.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
