
Gymnastics Adds George Young to Coaching Staff for 2025 Season

Young, owner and head coach of Mid Michigan Gymnastics USA, joins CMU for 2025 season
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan gymnastics has added George Young to its coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2025 season, CMU Athletics announced on Friday.
Young has been coaching gymnastics since 1980 and currently is the owner and head coach of Mid-Michigan Gymnastics U.S.A. in Freeland, Mich., which he opened in 1998.
His club has produced a handful of state championships, regional qualifiers, regional champions and several boys and girls level nine and 10 National Championship qualifiers. He also is a camp clinician at summer camps in Central Florida and throughout the United States.
Young resides in Standish, Mich. with hobbies including golf, fishing, hunting, and being outdoors.
