FREE ADMISSION: The unofficial kickoff for 2024-25 will debut the season’s earlier weekday tip time of 6:30 p.m.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan Women's Basketball unofficially opens the 2024-25 season Wednesday night against NCAA II Saginaw Valley State (6:30 p.m. ET). Admission to the event is free of charge.
All home weekday contests for the upcoming season will feature the new 6:30 p.m. tipoff, except for the annual Hoops For Hunger game (Jan. 22 v. Kent State, 11 a.m. ET).
The Chippewas take the court in year two under the direction of Head Coach Kristin Haynie, along with the program's entire coaching staff returning from the 2023-24 campaign.
Returning players include senior Lisa Tesson (Montréal, Québec / Royal Crown), junior Taylor Anderson (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon East), sophomore Desrae Kyles (Benton Harbor, Mich. / Benton Harbor) and redshirt-junior Satori Griffin (Mount Pleasant, Mich. / Mount Pleasant).

Fans are encouraged to attend the contest in-person as there will be no broadcast or live stats available to follow the game remotely.
