Baseball Drops Series Opener at Oral Roberts

The Chippewas (3-10) and Golden Eagles (5-7) conclude their two-game series on Wednesday (4 p.m.). CMU opens Mid-American Conference play on Friday at Kent State.
The Golden Eagles built their 7-0 lead against CMU starter Sean Knorr (0-1), who surrendered seven hits and struck out three over three innings.
Quinn Konuszewski and Jared Hanson pitched in relief for CMU.
The Chippewas the ORU lead to 7-3 with a three-run fourth highlighted by RBI singles by Danny Wuestenfeld and Drew Stengren.
ORU got a run back in the fifth to make it 8-3, and then tacked on four in the sixth to extend its lead to 12-3.
Jacob Donahue had four hits including a triple, his first of the season, to lead CMU's six-hit attack.
